An unusual case of  'network resources access denied'
Try mapping drives with IP address, instead of name. If it wasn't working on XP i would say you need to change your password, it has probably expired but since it works on XP that can't be the case. The only other thing i can suspect is a DNS name resolution. Maybe you have more then one "A" record in DNS for the server that you are trying to map to. So for example xp gets the first correct IP and then the 7 gets the wrong IP address. Check the IP settings of both computer, make sure you are pointed to the same DNS server.

I am working on this windows 7 box daily, this is a domain PC. One day, I found out that all my network mapped drives are NOT accessible - Access Denied'. These mapped drives are done by GPO. The same mapped drives, I am able to access them from a windows xp box (I did not try on another windows 7, yet!). Everything else is working like email, printing, internet... Only, network mapped drives have issue. I did the following below and still no help 1. Disconnected mapped drives and manually re-map them. 2. Reset Computer Account in domain, put PC to workgroup and rejoin to domain. 3. Rename my computer name Neither one above resolve the problem! What else I could do to resolve it? thanks.Thang Mo

Hi , I suggest you perform these tests to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Register DNS via command on Windows 7: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns 2. Temporally disable firewall on both Windows 7 and Server. 3. How to re-initialize the offline files cache and database Tracy Cai TechNet Community Support
